I've spent most of today and yesterday thanking God for all he has given me.
I am so truly blessed. I get to spend most all of my days home with my perfect son. And am able to go and do as I please. I'm getting to be mother and wife I've always dreamt of.
I can just cry at the drop of a hat... (that's really nothing new)
I'm just holding my son a little tighter, giving a few more kisses and a lot more "I love you's" today.
Oh and I also whipped up no bake cookies my mom used to make as kid!!
Oh, and I'm just now getting used to the phone app and don't know how to place pictures where I want them! Sorry!
Everyone have a wonderful BLESSED day!!

6 Months
So I would love to tell you that Ive been doing all kinds of awesome stuff and staying super busy and that's why I haven't blogged..... But that would be a lie. Who knows what Ive been doing?! Feels like my sweet boy has been sick forever and all I do is laundry, cook, clean and repeat.
This last Wednesday Jax woke up super stuffy and running a low grade fever so we went to the doctor, where she told us he had a cold. She gave us a script and said this should help but wont cure it......(dislike)... So now its Thursday and were still taking the drops and still snotty...
Yesterday was Jax 6 month well baby. We had shots of course(yuck) and he almost always runs fever. Hunter went with me to help me battle wal-mart, thank goodness and before we could even make it home the fever hit. 100.8 ish.. so we do Motrin.... 3 hrs later 101... so we do Tylenol.... this fever was on a mission and it made me a nervous wreck!!! It finally broke around midnight.
Oh rewind to last Monday.... we were going to start "crying it out" because in the nights before Jax was up every 45minutes to hr. Unacceptable...... So we decided to go ahead and put him in his room in his crib for the first time also... (there was no way we could let him scream in our room and hunter get up for work the next day also)
ANYWAYS...... He did FANTASTIC! The first night was only up twice i think and only ate once! It was great! He has done great every since!! Usually only up once! And that's for a diaper change and a snack! So were usually back asleep in 20 minutes or less! This momma really needed her sleep! By putting him in his room though that has moved us to the guest bedroom next to his.(I couldn't handle being across the house)
What I guess I was getting at is he was up a few more times last night!!!
And somehow with all this extra sleep Ive been getting I'm still so tired!
Here are a few pic's of what we've been up to! My nephew also had his first dirt bike race!

Dr. Appointments
So we had two appointments in ft. Worth this morning. Both checking on Jax esophogus. We had to leave the house at 6:45am to make it to our first one. Jax didn't fall back asleep on the way there......
And we were late... Traffic was horrible!
We made it thru the first appt and had an hr to kill before the next. We decided to go to the cafeteria for breakfast. The new side was open and really nice!! I had my fav omelet and they now have a chick-fil-a, what hunter had. If there was an up side to staying here I would have to say it was the food, their grill is great!
We also seen the nurse that released us, that was nice. She couldnt believe how chucky he was!
Our next appointment went fantastic!!! We don't have to go back for another 3mo!!! If it looks good then, we may be done!! What a blessing!!!
God is good ALL the time. I have all my faith in him. I know he puts us where we need to be, and all things happen for a reason. I'm so incredibly thankful and blessed.
Jax was so so sleepy by the time of the second appt. He fights his sleep so bad....... When he finally gave in he crashed!!!
We enjoyed the rest of our day shopping celebrating our good news! And apparently Jax has learned to sleep anywhere! He's such a little trooper!
I love days like today. Anytime it's me and my boys I'm happy!

5 Months
I started last month taking a picture in the same spot with the same items and so that's what we did yesterday.
The thing is once I start to take his picture I just cant stop!! So we did get our monthly pic...and about 100 more!!
This has been one crazy week, as you may know our AC went out on Saturday then on Monday our dryer had a funny smell. So today our new dryer is being delivered. Kinda exciting.
Ive also had the whole week off to prepare for our move to the new salon..... WELL that's now been delayed a month or so. So I'm going to be back at Patti's for the time being. I hate having to move my clients all around BUT everything happens for a reason. I think this just means its going to be a better place once she finds one!
AND randomly I had a low fever yesterday...... Who knows?!?! Today I feel fine.
Basically I haven't got anything done this week while I've been off! OH WELL!
Anyways back to my baby being 5 months old..... Isn't he just so stinkin' cute?!?!
He still doesn't roll over... Well he has twice, I missed it both times! He just has no interest in it what so ever! He does sit up really well though. Our Pediatrician says "hes as strong as an ox". And he is... This boy can pitch a fit.........and let me tell you, hes already hard to handle. I'm hoping he grows out of the fit thing.... and yes i know hes only 5mo BUT he does the whole arch the back full on fit ALREADY.... with no tears.....
Ya know I have no idea where he gets his temper.....{haha} ?
Here are some more pics from yesterday......
Ok, until next time. Hope everyone has a blessed day!
OH and last and for sure not least. Please keep all of the people affected by the fires in paradise and possum kingdom in your prayers also prayers for the firefighters that are out there also. And thank you so much for everything you do!

26?! Wasnt I just 15 yesterday?!?!?!
So its mt birthday and I'm 26. Its really crazy.........30 is just around the corner.
WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?
This year though is the best year ever because I have a sweet boy to celebrate with!
Were not going to do much, my mother in law is fixing dinner-which is always fun getting to visit with family.
Sunday- My favorite day of the week!!
We do what we call "naked time" every night before our bath, and Jax loves it. Well last night he actually set up!! Hes been really close but he did it unsupported and had a bit of balance!!!!

This year though is the best year ever because I have a sweet boy to celebrate with!
Were not going to do much, my mother in law is fixing dinner-which is always fun getting to visit with family.
We woke up Saturday and got ready early and headed to the mall (to get my bday present) we were there by 10 and it was awesome. the crowds weren't to terrible yet. Jax did great, and so did Hunter! (he normally is complaining and ready to go way before I'm even close) so I guess that was part of my present also. Anyways we had a great time and my boy was pooped! He passed out in daddy's arms while I was trying on shoes in nordstrom so I left them there while I went and grabbed one last thing!
We got home pretty early and Jax went down for a nap....and I was well on the way but our house seemed really hot. We just assumed it was because it was so hot outside. We decided to go to dinner - it was way to hot to cook!
When we got back the house was scorching!!!!! So we called, and called....... Every AC man we could find.... either they didn't answer or it would be awhile..... It was time to start bed time and Jax was getting fussy so I loaded him up and we headed to Lacey's to do bedtime! She had someone we could call and sure enough he answered and was on the way> (thank goodness) So I went ahead and put Jax down and waited. We ended up getting home about 11. And somehow Jax stayed asleep.
Sunday- My favorite day of the week!!
Church, we've got a great series going on that I really like and we also signed up for a life group!!! I'm really excited about it! The one we signed up for is at the church on Sundays at 11 so we would have to start going to the early service AND putting Jax in the church day care...... me agreeing to do this is HUGE!! I never wanted to put him in any kind of child care BUT its one hr a week and I used to work in the infant room and its usually pretty small and hopefully (surely) no one will bring their sick baby to church...right?!?!?
We got home to the COLD AC!!! And we all took naps!!!! Just another reason to love Sundays. Things just seem to move a little slower on Sundays and I love it! We do what we call "naked time" every night before our bath, and Jax loves it. Well last night he actually set up!! Hes been really close but he did it unsupported and had a bit of balance!!!!
We've been getting a new food every week and last night it was Sweet Peas and i was sure he was gong to make a terrible face on the first bite so i had the phone and camera ready.... Nope just loved it!! Hes just a hungry boy that loves his veggies!! I cant believe how big he is already.. Time flies. He looks so big in all these pictures......
I guess last night Jax gave me my birthday present, he only woke up at 4am then 7:30am! It was great! I'm not gunna get my hopes up that it will happen again....
Hope everyone has a great day!
OH AND GUESS WHAT????? In the next week or so we should get some cooler weather?!?! Who knew id be so excited about 90 degree weather?!!?

ITS HOT!!!
Well obviously its a scorcher outside! And I'm SICK of it!!! I feel like we are locked in the house! This is how I normally feel in the winter. Uh- just so ready for fall!!!
Anyways we haven't been up to much lately, its to stinkin' HOT!
Today I'm looking for Jax a Halloween costume. We love Halloween at our house but instead of us dressing up this year its all about him! (i was totally into dressing up to match Jax but when I mentioned it to Hunter I wish you could have seen the look on his face) I'm positive my husband thinks I've lost it at times!
So Ive still been battling with this last 10lbs!!! I have a gym membership but finding time to get there seems impossible PLUS I'm still starving all the time! And those of you who know me know- I L-O-V-E food and not the healthy kind either.
Sorry I'm kinda all over the place today- I assume its because I didn't really have an agenda when I started.
Oh I don't think Ive blogged since but we had my Papas 81st birthday on the 14th and Jax took his first picture with his great "papa"......This to me is classic. This was the best one.
I'm so thankful for my family and especially my Papa.
oh and these guys are going to be best friends one day.....
Thats pretty much all i can think to write....
Maybe I can get it together tomorrow.

4 Months Old
Yesterday my baby had a big day...
He had his 4month shots.... I always dread these... and this time I was torn whether to split the shots up or not. This time it was only 2 so we didnt. I just hate anything that hurts my baby I suppose. He did better this time, I went head and gave him a little tylenol before the shots and I think it helped. I will continue to do this in the coming months.
Also at the doctor yesterday she told us we could start rice cereal!!! I was super excited! I am hoping this will help my little guy to sleep better at night. He is 18 (almost 19) weeks old and is still up at least 3 times a night.
So we tried it last night and he hated it..... It was hilarious!!! His faces were priceless... I wish I would have had pictures of the faces but I was feeding and dad was filming! We will try again tonight and Im really wanting it to go better!
Oh and this weekend we did end up going to San Angelo. We had a great time. (as expected)
Jax also had his first swimming experience...
He liked it, just as I had thought he would! How could he not though? He LOVES his bath and I kinda think thats what he related it to because he was ready for his nap RIGHT after!!!!
We had a great time but Im sure glad to be home! After a full 8 days of traveling and a little over 2,000 miles driven.... I need another vacation.....haha

Home Sweet Home!
So it's Thursday and we are home. We decided to head home yesterday afternoon from Clayton NM.
Now I'll get to the whole story on why were home so early....
At Palo Duro and on the way
Satuday and Sunday both went great, Jax did good in the car and he did good when we stopped in Palo Duro. I had high hopes for the whole trip. We got to south fork CO and the place was packed we were staying at. The weather totally made up for that though! It was beautiful! Anyways we got set up and unloaded and Jax was getting fussy, not wanting to nap.
My Boys in South Fork CO
The next day Jax did the same, fussy fussy, not napping and what felt to us like he was screaming constantly. We tried everything. Nothing worked.
Like I said the weather was perfect- 70's and low 80's then got to the 50's at night. That was basically what was keeping us there. The only thing we could figure out was the altitude. He was fussy even nursing. I was loosing my mind!
Like I said... It was beautiful...
By Tuesday morning I was in tears and at my wits end. This was the first time I have been so overwhelmed by his fussyness that I was crying. I just wanted to be home. Too bad that was 12 hrs away....
We ended up packing up and leaving... We didn't really know where we were going but we were trying to get to lower altitude. I was so upset to leave the weather. For one Hunter never gets a full week off of work and I knew it was supposed to be 112 at home this week. I didn't really feel like spending the rest of our vacation cooped up in the house.
We made it to clayton NM and the weather was still pretty nice there. Jax seemed instantly better. He was also up every two hrs at night while we were in CO so I was exhausted. He just wasnt himself.
Hunter and I were happy in NM, the place we were at was really empty so I liked that. It was peaceful and relaxing and my baby was HAPPY!! (most importantly)
Wednesday we woke up and made pancakes, had burgers on the grill for lunch, and set outside....
We also played a game of putt putt- I made a hole in one the first one and was sure I was about to kick my hubby's butt!!!
NOPE wrong- it was all down hill after that- but it was fun. We are both very competitive-
We set around some more and decided to head home at 3:30pm ( who knows why)
Jax didnt like the idea apparently- he was mad more than he normally was in the car. PLUS we had an 8hr drive ahead of us. He napped some, but thank goodness for baby einstein. He loves it!
He threw the biggest fit EVER right around bed time.. I felt horrible for having to do a pretend bedtime then stick him back in the car seat. He gets a bath everynight for as long as I can remember and last night was his first night not to. We did lotion and jammies then nursed and he was out and made it the rest of the way home. We got home about 12:30am, he never woke up from carseat to bed even! And he was back to his normal up twice!! Which is OK with me compared to his 5 or so the nights before!!!
I now feel like I could sleep for days and never want to get back in the car....
BUT were actually thinking of jointing a few good friends in San Angelo for the weekend. We will see!

On the road!
Well it's 6am and we've been on the road for about 20 minutes now and my ADD has already set in. Jax is sleeping though, were keeping our fingers crossed.
- anyways I can't remember the last time I was up UP at 6am and I realized how much I truely appreciate a nice HOT cup of black coffee...! I think I can conquer the world when I have my coffee. And if you don't have a keurig I highly suggest you get one. I think it has added to the addiction. We're basically best friends though.
Sunday
So our drive to Palo Duro was great. Jax slept most of it and we only had to stop twice. The canyon was beautiful, it was still really hot so we didn't get to venture out much but I managed to get a few pictures. Once we're in Colorado it should be MUCH nicer cooler weather. I'm just praying today goes as smoothly as yesterday. Oh and I even got to take a 2 hour nap yesterday with jaxy! That never happens! I'm thinking this vacation is going to be awesome!
-we headed out at 5am again
Ok I'm way behind... But anyways I'll catch up on the next post.

Lazy Dayz...
Well it's Sunday and Jax is napping and I actually have some free time.
YIPPEE!
But I have nothing to do...? Imagine that. Ive been working on keeping the house spotless all week so this coming week its easy keep up while I'm getting ready for our vacation!
Plus I cooked lunch after church, so I'm definitely NOT going to be making dinner. Its left overs or cereal at the Skiles house tonight.
For lunch I tried a new recipe Cola Chicken, it was pretty good. The recipe was for stove top but said you could put it in the crock pot so thats what i tried.(I would cook everything in the crock pot if I could) I think it would have been better stove top. It didn't quite caramelize as much as I would have liked but oh well> we had mac-n-cheese and fried potato's with it.
Don't judge, I never said it was healthy!!!!
Just in case you were wondering Jax is feeling MUCH, MUCH better now! Ear infection is gone! Still on meds till Thurs tho---
This next week is going to be jam packed.....
cleaning- I cant stand going on vaca and then coming home to a dirty house
cooking- I'm preparing some stuff for our trip to make it easier, its hard to make a menu for a full week!
WORK- I'm pretty busy this coming week(which is great since I'll be gone for a full week)
*and last but not least*
packing- Ive never had to pack for three people for a full week! Hunter always says he will pack himself then its the night before and hes throwing stuff in a bag. Then we get there and hes asking where all of the stuff he didn't remember to pack is.... so Ive given up on that.
I'm also a list maker anyways, but this trip has already required a whole notebook.
But like I know Ive said before I CANT WAIT!!!! We look at the weather at least three times a day.... It has never been over 84!!!!
-were going to south fork Colorado if I haven't said that already
-its also around a 12hr drive...... and we're pulling a camper.....yes we are crazy, but we are going to be stopping in palo duro TX which should split it up to two 6hr trips. depending on how many times we have to stop for little man.... so this should be interesting...
anyways we have been taking a family pic before church every week before church.....so here is today's!
OH! AND next week is shark week!!!! We LOVE shark week :)

It's been a MONDAY!---all week so far!
So as you all may know by now I'm a worry wort. About anything and everything! So that also means I take my son to the Dr A LOT! We actually made it all of last week without a visit. That's a pretty good run for us. So last night Jax starts to run what I call a low fever 99.7ish. I didn't panic just kept an eye on it. Woke up this morning and everything was going as usual I put him down for his morning nap a little earlier than normal (he was fussy and sleepy) so I went with it. He was back up by about 10:15 and as soon as I picked him up I knew he was warm. This time it was 100.5. OK... Now this is freak out mode for me. I call the Dr and we get in right away. When we get there their thermometer reads 100. And my big boy weighed 14lbs 8oz! He is getting so big! Anyways she comes in and checks him out..... He has an ear infection.
WHAT?
Seriously?
I honestly think that we go to the Dr so often that I never expect anything to actually be wrong! So I feel terrible. And Jax HATES medicine and when I say hates I mean it. Like half the time he pukes it right back up with the first taste of it. We have had this happen twice today already.
So now we have just spent the rest of the day snuggling! And me worrying, but what's new right?
OK that was on Monday, its now Wednesday and I'm just now getting to finish! I hate it when my baby's sick. Since he's been sick sleeping has a fight, mainly naps for some reason. Then last night he was up 3 or 4 times... Its all kind of a blur. So I'm completely exhausted! Then tomorrow (Thursday the 21st) is going to be a total beat down. Our first appointment at cooks in the morning is at 9, then another at 11, then another at 2........I'm thinking I'll have a few things to blog about after tomorrow...... Please pray for us....
Tomorrow its not the Dr appointments I'm worried about... its my sweet boy fighting his naps while we go from one to the other. A little anxious to see what the gastro has to say. The other 2 are just check ups.
On a brighter note we leave for vacation on the 31st and I CANT WAIT!!!!
Oh and the pic from above im just behind on putting up! The other is just after church last week!

Just a little catch-up
So it's been awhile since I've had time to blog!!! I've missed it!!! Not even sure where I left off... I'll just start with this weekend.
July 4th weekend, always one of my favorite! My husband gets home Friday early and we have to run to ft. Worth to grab a portable swing for my little dude( he's completely addicted to his big one) because we have plans to go to Graham and visit one of my best friends for the weekend! I was excited! We don't get to see each other nearly as often as I would like! Ya know life kinda gets in the way sometimes..... Just like it did this weekend.

So Jax screamed his poor little head off most of the way to town...until he passed out. We get there get our shopping done. Fairly painless. Then Jax realizes he's tired.... Oh crap...here we go again.... So he screams and screams..until you hold him. We go eat and he falls asleep while we hold him. Then we have to put him back in the car seat..... We got maybe two miles down the road... And the screaming began again.... Bless his little heart he is just a particular baby. I know he gets this from me. We know what we want and we want it now! So we end up pulling over at a gas station again to change him, nurse and let him fall asleep... Our quick trip to town now turned into a FIVE hr trip!!! So it was around 10pm when we finally got home and got jax to bed. i was hoping he would sleep good since we had a long day. Well he did pretty good but instead of being woke up by him, I'm woke up to Hunter telling me that he has been sick and is going to sleep in the guest bedroom-FABULOUS- I'm just praying Jax doesn't get it. 7:30am rolls around and i get up to nurse, I'm sick...... now what..... Thankfully i have a years worth of frozen milk and my mother in law comes to the rescue!! she loaded up Jax a days worth of milk (the new portable swing) and off they went! And i cried, and cried, and CRIED! i had never been away from him this long plus i felt like crap! So i loaded up on meds and slept most of the day trying to get better as fast as possible. I guess it was around 7;30pm when she brought him back and i was feeling better, i missed him sooooo much. Neither one of us were fully recovered until Monday. I tell ya what, i wouldn't wish a stomach bug on anyone!!! (well maybe Casey Anthony but I'll get to that in a minute)
Anyways Monday we had some good family time, went to posados for a late lunch and it was one of the best trips we've had in a while! i don't think Jax screamed until we were in Boyd on our way home so to me that's a success!!!

And just to add in here I'm not sure if i said it before but......I'm a GERMAPHOBE(SP?) and i about have a panic attack when people that i don't know try to touch my child with their germie hands.....there I said it....
OK...now i wanna vent a little about this Casey Anthony trial, WHAT THE HELL???? I mean seriously? i didn't watch the trail religiously but i heard about it here and there. But i knew she had to be guilty.... so when the news broke through i was sure the verdict was going to be guilty. When it wasn't i was in total shock, then shock turned to tears... that poor, poor baby girl. Justice wasn't served. A good loving mother couldn't go on with there life without their child, or lie about where they were. i could go on for hours so i will spare you. This just really broke my heart. i know i shouldn't judge but now being a new mommy myself that makes it really hard. I do know though that she will pay for what she did.
This has now taken me all week to finish! Only thing else left on my mind i suppose is we are going to red river NM first week in august and I CANT WAIT!!! The weather is going to be so nice!
OH YEAH...this weekend is Hunters bday.... i still haven't got him anything......AAH OH?!
i believe ill go whip up a cheesecake to make up for no surprise present........... Take care!

Fathers Day Weekend
Our weekend started out Friday afternoon as soon as Hunter got home from work. We had been needing to go to Ft Worth to do a little shopping and get a few things. As soon as he got home I was greeted with these....
Oh and let's go back to first thing Friday morning... Jax was refusing to nurse, every time we tried he screamed... So I would pump and give him the bottle, still would only eat about an ounce or two at a time. When normally he would suck down 3-5oz. So I get into panic mode... He's gonna get dehydrated, he's sick, something must hurt, my minds going crazy.. So I call my pediatrician.... Yip you know it... She wants to see us.... So off we go. She recommend pumping to make sure he's getting enough. So that's where were at....
and sometime in there I made Hunters favorite strawberry cupcakes...
So we headed to Ft. Worth and couldn't decide where we wanted to have dinner and ended up at twisted root... We're addicted!!! As usual I ate to much but it was FANTASTIC!!!! After eating we went to the new store Buy Buy Baby to look for a monitor. I really liked the store, or maybe it was just a nice change of pace! Headed over to Dicks sporting goods for our MAVS championship shirts and headed home after that. Jax was getting pretty fussy (it was time for his before bed nap) and refused to fall asleep. We ended up having to pull over at a gas station on the way home to feed him. Then he was pretty content. Made it home and by the time we got him his bath and he ate for the last time it was around 10:30, he didn't wake up again until 5:30!!! This was awesome! That's the longest hes ever went before!! i was one happy momma! he didn't wake up again until 8:00. Right away i knew it was going to be a good Saturday!!! Hunter woke up to get an early game of golf in with the guys while me and Jax stayed home and cleaned. After they got done we all meet at chili's for lunch. It takes a pretty big table for all of us now, 5 adults, 2 slings, and 1 high chair!!!It was fun as usual. After getting home we were just hanging out being lazy and somehow we all ended up getting to nap......
For dinner we just had sandwich wraps....simple and quick! Nina came over to visit for a bit and got to sit in on Jaxy's bath. And that was the extent of our Saturday!
Jax is back to nursing regularly now by the way. AND had another amazing night! I sure hope he keeps this up!!!
Sunday morning Hunter makes us pancakes for breakfast and we get ready for church. Dinner and family time at the in-laws after. (babes chicken umm) And had a little fun in the sun! Spent the rest of the day doing nothing.... just like i like on the weekends!
I don't know about Hunter but I sure had a GREAT fathers day weekend!!!
I know, it's fathers day weekend not mothers day?!? I was excited... I love flowers for no reason. Or anything for no reason!

Waiting........
Something I've never been good at....
We started the morning at 5:15am for his last chance to have breast milk, thankfully he took 4oz easily. But then spit up.... Just a little though.
Head to the hospital at 6:45am trying to be able to give him some pedialyte before 7:45(his cut off for anything) we get to Saginaw and stop to try and give it to him.... Of course he doesn't want it!!!! This is the last thing he can have until after surgery.... Which is scheduled for 11:15, if they aren't behind!
We have a appointment with the surgeon before at 8:30. We get there and we wait, and wait, and WAIT..... It's now 8:45.... We're supposed to check in at the hospital at 9:30. The nurse comes out to say he's running behind and won't be there till 9:30!!!! My only thoughts are MY SONS STARVING!!!! 9:30 comes and goes.... We are still WAITING... About 9:50-10 she comes to tell us to head to the hospital and check in and the Dr will meet us there before surgery.
So we head to check-in. We get that done and go to the 2nd floor to surgery check-in there. The waiting room is packed and all waiting on the same surgeon... Plus I'm a germaphobe... And Jax is screaming.... Great... Finally they call us back to the room... The nurses come in and are so great with him, in no time he's talking and smiling ( he's kinda of a ham) so time starts to go by a little quicker.

They took him back at about 11(surprisingly ahead of schedule) So that puts us back to WAITING...
and this time we have to set by a phone and the nurse calls and lets us know every things going well and that they are done.... so its extremely nerve racking.....
About 11:30 they call our name and the phones for us. My stomach drops every time. Hunter answers, I'm still on pins and needles praying everything is fine. And it is!!!!! FEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!! He is out and in recovery! They will come get us when we can see him! It feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted!!!!
THANK YOU LORD!!!!!!! We are truly blessed...
Back in recovery our sweet boy was still sleeping sound, he looked so peaceful. We are finally home and I'm pooped!!!! its almost dinner time and I'm thinking pizza or something easy....
Thanks for all the prayers,
The Skiles Family

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.
Today i woke up to a congested baby, this is not new. He is this way almost every morning, however it seemed a little worse today (plus he has another procedure in the morning) so i call my pediatrician and of course she wants to see us. i love my pediatrician, she is so on top of things considering my sons condition...
its just such an ordeal to get out so early in the mornings plus it always seems to be around his morning nap. So we get ready to leave and he poops.... so we go to change him, he then te te's everywhere... all over himself his outfit and the changing table, we are now LATE!!!! Fabulous!!!!!!
So we get there.....these people know us on a first name basis by now...... Same thing...
Out of car seat,
take his temp.... 98.3
weight...... 12lbs 1.6oz...
WAIT 12lbs 1.6oz..!!!!???
seriously??? this means he has not gained an ounce in a week.... this is not like my son, this is NOT good! i go into panic mode (of course) my pedi does not... she checks him out, no infection, no big deal to her.....
He has been fussy almost every time he has nursed.. I blamed it on gas... apparently not it... so now I'm stuck with pumping the next 24hrs making sure he gets enough......FUN FUN.......
So this is where the serenity prayer comes in, its always been something that i have try ed to remember, and try to do, this prayer also always reminds me of my dad... he used to read it often and also try ed to live by it.
anyways Jax is now napping and I'm doing this..... this is a great way for me to vent.... so thanks for listening....Oh and if you could keep my little guy in your prayers tonight and tomorrow... thanks again!

Could this mean rain?
Setting in bed while everyone sleeps (yes even Jax) hearing what I think to be storms?!? We really need the rain!!! Plus this would really help with our water bill.... For some reason I love green grass, my husband swears I love to see him have to mow twice a week. Could be a little of both, he needs some physical labor every now and again :)!

It seems to be hard to find time for me to get on here, ya know between having a 10 week old, trying to play house wife, working VERY part time and last of all squeezing in some sleep every chance I get! Which I might add isn't often enough....
So this week has been pretty good. I've seemed to have dinner on the table twice this week and its only Tuesday! Monday was meat loaf, it was fantastic! I had a second helping :/(could be the reason I still look at least 6mo pregnant!) then tonight since I worked we had tostados- it was a good change of pace. Not my husbands fav but that's because all he ever wants is meat and potatoes. Typical guy!
ok.... just now getting to finish this one... about to start another..........
